Brisbane Council Planning & Building - Corporate Look & Feel
Details:
Brisbane City Council's Planning & Building department needs a new look and feel to be applied to their new website, so RED-i Design created a crisp, sophisticated style and a series of icons. Each icon represents a different planning or building area - from small lots, to swimming pool fences, to garages - and helps to identify the different categories, allowing for easy navigation. The icons were fitted together to create a cityscape that shows the many different facets of this large department. The cool blue tones were used to create a feeling of calm and simplicity, showing that the new website is simple and easy to navigate. A number of industry professionals, Council employees and Brisbane residents were added to the cityscape to show the many people involved in the process and to give a 'human' quality. This corporate look and feel was applied to the new BCC website and was documented in a style guide.
