The Remix hits Brisbane

The Remix is an inter-school hip hop dance competition for Brisbane high schools with workshops and a final "dance off" performance at the Riverstage in the City Botanic Gardens.

Some of Brisbane’s top high school dance crews battled it out for great prizes and the title of “Brisbane’s Freshest Dance Crew.”

To date this the largest hip hop dance event of its kind in Australia.

In 2008 Approximately 24 schools competed. 

The event featured exhibition performances from leading dance studios, professional dance crews, plus live MC’s, Beatboxers & DJs.

Appearing live and judging were:

 • Jack Chambers - winner of "So You Think You Can Dance 2008"

 • Demi - Australia's favourite BGirl from "So You Think You Can Dance 2008"

 • Xy Latu - performing songs from his solo album
